Welcome to Crestview Picards!

The Picardy Shepherd, known in France as the Berger Picard, is named for the Picardy region in northeastern France where the breed originates from ancient sheep and cattle herding dogs. It is a rare breed, even in France. In the United States, very few breeders exist and the current estimate is that less than 200 Picards live in this country.

Our goal is to breed Picards that conform to breed standards; this is especially important with a rare breed. We also consider intelligence and temperament; most of all we want our dogs to be good pets! Our puppies will be home-raised and given lots of love and attention to ensure that they have an easy transition to becoming part of your family.
